I started this blog as a way to track my attempts to get organized in a number of ways. I feel like I'm always tilting towards the disastrous in all things homemaking.
I'm a full-time graduate student, stay at home mother of two young children and a dedicated wife to an amazing man who works very, very, very hard, long hours. I feel like I'm on one of those balancing boards where as soon as you hit equilibrium, you almost flip over. I'll have one week where the laundry is totally tied down, but then realize at the end of the week that every meal has been a haphazard, last minute grab. Or, the food thing will be dialed in, but the house will look like an exploded toy factory.
The situation is obviously further complicated by having two young children on different schedules (pre-school, home all day) who bring their own urgent needs for love, attention, feeding and watering to the home life!
Somehow everybody gets fed, the house gets (relatively) picked up, it's not violating any serious public health standards, but I know there's a way to do all this more efficiently. This is my way of keeping track of it all.
